We have had the success of LOTRO and DDO. Both are good to play for free, and shell out like...40$ over a year, stead of 15 a month. And its permenent.
Well, Now Champions is going FTP.
I have been playing it now for 5-ish days. Play-tested most of the power sets, made many characters, and played both story arcs begings. Over all, It seems a really good game. Well done, The Voice acting is on par with other MMOs. The power sets are the biggist buff. We all saw City of Heroes. Yeah! make a super hero. But they had one or two sets you could choose from.
Now you can select a set to start, And snag powers from other sets when you level. The travel power you get at level 5. So you dont have to hoof everywhere for 20 levels. And you get something EVERY LEVEL. Like, One level you get a power, the other you get a trait (To modify your powers) the other you will get a stat increase. The like.
Over all, Great game. Totally worth taking a look at.
